Lauren Levinson, Executive Chef

You could say that Lauren Levinson was born to be Savannah’s Executive Chef. The child of successful Laguna Beach, CA, restaurateurs, Lauren was already whipping up her own recipes by the time she was 10.
Lauren’s creative streak led to education at the Otis Parsons Design School while she honed her affinity for hospitality with intensive training at the elegant Ritz Restaurant in Newport Beach.

Having fallen in love with Sedona, AZ, Lauren relocated here in 2000. She brought together her talents as an account executive for one of Phoenix’s most prestigious caterers, planning and overseeing events from high-end weddings to elaborate galas for up to 1000 guests.
All along, Lauren had delighted dinner guests with fabulous meals that exhibited her instinctive knack for skillfully blending together unlikely flavors.
Finally, in 2002, the opening of Savannah’s allowed all of Lauren’s gifts to blossom. Her loving creation of Savannah’s rich interior design details, as well as the tempting menu selections, is a major reason for the restaurant quickly becoming a Sedona favorite and a prime location for special events.
Savannah Heit, Restaurant Namesake
At times, your hostess at Savannah’s may be just four feet tall and chit-chat with you about the play she’s in at school. That’s Savannah herself, Lauren’s nine year-old daughter.
Not burdened by shyness, Savannah is quick with a smile and a hug, while also probably knowing all the details about the nightly specials. And if you’ve brought your kids, she’s likely to invite them to color or play hide-and-seek outside in the grove.
Drawing is one of Savannah’s favorite things to do, and one of the restaurant corridors is devoted to displaying her latest masterpieces.
